So grateful for her adoptive mother Patty, that Anna always did what she was supposed to do. 16 year old Anna Whitt is a good girl who doesn't know much about her parentage other than she was adopted. Definitely a different take on angels and demons. So if you don't mind some pretty gory imagery and LOTS unresolved teen angst then give this one a go. There is barely any action and freaking nothing gets resolved. All and all this book was more then a wee bit annoying in its lack of progress. Though I can't be sure if that is the character or the narrator. By the end of the book I kind of wanted to push her off look-out peek. Although, I definitely liked her better when she was misbehaving. I really liked our bad boy, and I mostly liked our "good girl" heroine. How many Angel books have you read where the "Angels" don't even believe in God? The answer is a lot. The most interesting bit being that God is actually involved. I think this happens because the author wants to leave us hanging for her second installment (which I really HATE btw.) This is a unique take on the Angel stories as its pretty close to what the Bible teaches. Sweet Evil is one of those books that starts out pretty strong and just when you think its going to elevate it takes a serious dive. Alright so this might be a bit schizophrenic.
